Elizabeth Filippouli is an international journalist-turned-entrepreneur. In 2010 she launched Global Thinkers a management consultancy firm focusing on corporate cultural transformation, values-based leadership for organizational and human development and projects in various countries. She has worked as advisor to companies and organizations like: National Lottery UK, World Economic Forum, SBS, AGL, amongst others. In 2012 she also launched Global Thinkers Forum (2012) a social-purpose think tank bringing together thought leaders and promoting excellence in leadership and governance through international fora and roundtables and with a very strong presence in the Arab world/MENA countries. Global Thinkers Forum and GTF Awards for Excellence were launched under the Patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordanand took place in 2012 in Amman, Jordan discussing ‘Women Leaders in MENA- Power & Creativity’. The King Abdullah Fund for Development was among the main sponsors. GTF also partnered with the premier network of seed investors in MENA, Oasis500 and also Google to support women entrepreneurs in the Middle East and North Africa, always with a focus towards achieving positive change. Among its strategic partners it includes: UNAoC, UN Women, Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, NYAS, Said Business School etc.

Filippouli is a firm believer in applying a values-based approach to build healthy companies, secure employee engagement and maximize performance, output and financial sustainability. She has trained leaders and staff in a number of different organizations such as Dubai Business Women Council, Al Rostamani Group, ALECSO, CEO Clubs International etc. Elizabeth has studied Strategy and Innovation at Said Business School Oxford University, Transnational Media and Globalisation at London City University and is certified for the Harvard Kennedy School of Government Executive Education program on “Shaping Change in the Information Age”.

She is also a certified Leadership Coach & Barrett Values Centre Cultural Change consultant supporting clients in their personal, leadership and cultural transformation for their companies. She is certified to apply online Barret Values CTT (Cultural Transformation Tools) a survey that measures the level of cultural disorder and assesses personal and organizational ‘Health Index’.

Elizabeth is also a mentor for Oxford Business Alumni, helping entrepreneurs not only in capacity building but also with marketing, media and crisis management, corporate reputation protection, values-based leadership for maximum performance and partnership building. In Arab countries she has worked among others with Mowgli Foundation (UK/MENA), Tomorrow’s Youth Organization (Palestine), INJAZ (Jordan), Leaders of Tomorrow (Jordan), ALECSO (Arab League Educational Cultural and Scientific Organization). She has worked with international media outlets such as CNN, Al Jazeera English, NewsXchange. Among her recent projects was consulting the EU for the creation of an online platform to improve communication between Governments, CSO and media between North and South. She is a regular keynote speaker on topics around Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Women Empowerment, Innovation, Media. She is also a Huffington Post contributor.
