Terms of Use

  • 1. About the terms

    • a. By accessing services provided by or receiving data from Global Thinkers Ltd or its subsidiary companies (“GLOBAL THINKERS”) you agree to be bound by these terms, which shall take effect immediately on your first use of information or services provided by GLOBAL THINKERS. If you do not agree to be bound by all of the following terms please do not access GLOBAL THINKERS’s services and contact GLOBAL THINKERS to request that all services to you cease.

    • b. GLOBAL THINKERS may change these terms from time to time and so you should check these terms regularly. Your continued use of the services provided to you by GLOBAL THINKERS will be deemed acceptance of updated or amended terms.

  • 2. Intellectual Property

    All copyright, trademarks, design rights, patents and other intellectual property rights (registered and unregistered) in all content made available to you by GLOBAL THINKERS shall remain vested in GLOBAL THINKERS or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, republish, disassemble, decompile, reverse engineer, download, post, broadcast, transmit, make available to the public, or otherwise use GLOBAL THINKERS content in any way except for your own personal, non-commercial use. You also agree not to adapt, alter or create a derivative work from any GLOBAL THINKERS content except for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other use of GLOBAL THINKERS content requires the prior written permission of GLOBAL THINKERS.

  • 3. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

    • a. GLOBAL THINKERS does not guarantee the timeliness or completeness or accuracy of any of the content provided to you through any of its services. This content shall include any content provided to users by way of e-mail, websites controlled and operated by GLOBAL THINKERS, transcripts or summaries prepared and transmitted by GLOBAL THINKERS. Whilst we try to ensure that all content provided is correct at the time of publication no responsibility is accepted by or on behalf of GLOBAL THINKERS for any errors, omissions or inaccurate content provided to users by GLOBAL THINKERS either through email, websites or paper copies.

    • b. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes GLOBAL THINKERS’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its proven negligence. Subject to the previous sentence, GLOBAL THINKERS shall not be liable for any of the following losses or damage (whether such damage or losses were foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise): (a) loss of data; (b) loss of revenue or anticipated profits; (c) loss of business; (d) loss of opportunity; (e) loss of goodwill or injury to reputation; (f) losses suffered by third parties; or (g) any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of GLOBAL THINKERS services or content regardless of the form of action.

    • c. Content provided by GLOBAL THINKERS is for the sole use of customers of GLOBAL THINKERS. GLOBAL THINKERS shall not be liable for any losses or damage (whether such damage or losses were foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise) that arise from the onward transmission of content by customers of GLOBAL THINKERS to third parties who are not customers of GLOBAL THINKERS and who have not agreed to comply with the terms of use set out in this document.

  • 4. General

    • a. If any of these terms are determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by reason of the laws of any state or country in which these terms are intended to be effective, then to the extent and within the jurisdiction in which that term is illegal, invalid or unenforceable, it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and the remaining terms shall survive and continue to be binding and enforceable.

    • b. The failure or delay of GLOBAL THINKERS to exercise or enforce any right in these terms does not waive the GLOBAL THINKERS’s right to enforce that right;

    • c. These terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales which shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes;

    • d. You agree to use the information and services provided by GLOBAL THINKERS only for lawful purposes, and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else’s rights;

    • e. You agree that you will not remove, conceal or alter any copyright notices contained in any of the content or services provided to you by GLOBAL THINKERS;

    • f. You agree that you will not create or store in electronic form any shared library or archive of information which could be used as a research application;

    • g. share any password created for the purposes of allowing you access to a GLOBAL THINKERS website or service with any third party.

    • h. Any summaries or transcripts produced by GLOBAL THINKERS are the work or GLOBAL THINKERS and not that of the licensors on whose original content such summaries or transcripts may be based.
