Elizabeth Filippouli, Director

Elizabeth Filippouli is a Global Media & Business Strategist specialising in next-generation PR, Communications, Media and International Networking. She has studied Strategy and Innovation in Said Business School of Oxford University and Transnational Media and Globalisation in London City University. Elizabeth has worked with global media organizations such as Al Jazeera English and CNN International and other international companies such as Camelot UK, Coca Cola, the IOC, the Eurovision. She is a member of the NewsXchange.org Executive Board and also of the International News Safety Institute (INSI).

David Nordfors (PhD), Senior Advisor Innovation, Media & Society

David is a Swedish physicist, active in the field of science, innovation and society. As the initial Director of Research Funding of the Knowledge Foundation (KK-stiftelsen) he created the first and largest Swedish quality controlled research funding system for university colleges. It is recognized to have broken down the borders between universities and university colleges in research, and fostered research collaboration between university colleges and industry. Nordfors is the founding Executive Director of the Stanford Center for Innovation and Communication at Stanford University.
Nordfors work with the Pakistani television station, SAMAA TV, has been awarded for its role in bringing local issues of innovative development to the forefront of public awareness in Pakistan. David is a visiting professor at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (Tech Monterrey) in Mexico, and visiting professor at the Deutsche Welle DW-Academy.

Christine Cantera, Analyst Business & Social Trends

A graduate of New York University, Christine has had extensive experience with a wide variety of corporate clients, including Ralph Lauren, Grey Advertising and JPMorgan Chase. She has also worked in academia, partnering with Columbia University and Cooper Union through an educational programme for the New York City Board of Education.

Derek Wyatt, Consultant Internet Trends & International Markets

Derek was first elected to the House of Commons for the new constituency of Sittingbourne and Sheppey in north Kent in May 1997. Before being elected as an MP, he was Director of The Computer Channel at BSkyB and travelled extensively throughout America from mid-1995 to research the internet and to assess its impact. He formed the All Party Internet Group and in 2004, he was voted one of the top 100 internet visionaries over the past decade.  He is also the founder of the Oxford Internet Institute and the Internet Policy Institute.

Vilma Papasavva, Senior Advisor International Projects

Vilma Papasavva is a very well known journalist in Greece and an independent Strategy, Policy Communication and Arts consultant.  She has worked with the Greek Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Education and with the Special Olympics World Summer Games ATHENS 2011 Organizing Committee. She has been writing in the most prestigious publications in Greece on numerous subjects relating to her expertise.  She is very experienced in creating new stories, researching and implementing “out-the-box” communication strategies. She holds a post-grad degree from the University of Kent, UK.

Richard Peel, MD of RPPR, has held Corporate Affairs Directorships and other key communication roles in the Media, Bradcast, Sport, Local Government, Health and Gaming sectors, for leading edge companies such as the BBC, Camelot, Ofcom and the England and Wales Cricket Board.

Tim Warnes Consultant, International Media

Tim has over seven years of experience in communications including roles at the Al Jazeera television network in Qatar and with Informa in the UK. His professional interests include branding, reputation management, public affairs and new technology. Tim was educated in the UK and Japan and is currently based in London.

Michalis Katsimitsis (PhD), Entrepreneurship & CSR Projects

Michalis Katsimitsis has studied philosophy at the University of Athens. He obtained his doctoral degree from the same University, where he taught for some time. His research interests include moral issues and social development. He works on applied ethics and human relationships in various areas (business, public relations, disadvantaged people).
